Manage Classroom

  1. Accessing the Classroom Page:

    • Click on "Classrooms" in the left sidebar menu.
  2. Selecting a Classroom:

    • Use the dropdown menu at the top to select a specific classroom (e.g., "JSS1").
  3. Adding Students and Staff:

    • "ADD STUDENTS TO CLASS" button: Click to add new students to the selected classroom.
    • "ADD STAFF TO CLASS" button: Click to assign additional staff members to the classroom.
  4. Classroom Information:

    • Classroom Teacher: Displays the name of the assigned teacher (e.g., Ahmad Liman).
  5. Students Table:

    • Shows a list of students in the selected classroom.
    • Columns include: Name, Email, Status, Is Active, and Actions.
    • The table header indicates the total number of students (e.g., "2 students").
  6. Student Details:

    • Name and gender of each student are displayed.
    • Email addresses are listed for each student.
    • Status column shows if a student is "New" or another status.
    • "Is Active" column indicates whether a student is currently active or not.
    • Actions column (…) likely provides options to edit or manage individual student records.
  7. Pagination:

    • Navigate through student lists using pagination controls at the bottom of the table.
    • Choose the number of rows displayed per page (default: 10).
  8. Fees Information:

    • A section titled "Classroom Fees" displays the available fees for a class.
    • This section provides a clear breakdown of the tuition associated with the class, including both tuition and additional levies.
    • Every student in the class can pay this fee,
    • Note: "This is the fees paid per term" by student as configured by admin
  9. Subjects:

    • Lists the subjects taught in the selected classroom (total of 5 subjects).
    • Subjects listed: ENGLISH FOR JSSI, MATHEMATICS FOR JSSI, BASIC SCIENCE FOR JSSI, SOCIAL STUDIES FOR JSSI, ENGLISH FOR JSSI (appears to be listed twice).

This page provides a comprehensive view of a selected classroom, including its teacher, enrolled students, associated subjects, and fee information. It allows for easy management of classroom composition and quick access to relevant details.

Adding Student to Class

First select a class in the Classroom management page, then click the ADD STUDENT TO CLASS button which will open a modal window.

  • Adding Students to Class: When clicking the "ADD STUDENTS TO CLASS" button, a modal opens with the following features:

    a) Search Functionality:

    • A search bar labeled "Find Students by Name or Email" allows quick student lookup.

    b) Subclass Selection:

    • A dropdown menu to "Select Subclass" with options: • JSS1 A • JSS1 B • JSS1 C • JSS1 D

    c) Term Selection:

    • A dropdown menu to "Select Term"

    d) Student List:

    • Displays a list of students with checkboxes for selection.
    • Each student entry shows: • Student name • Activity status (Active or Not Active)

    e) Student Selection:

    • Checkboxes next to each student name allow for multiple selections.

    f) Status Indicators:

    • Green "Active" tag for currently active students.
    • Pink "Not Active" tag for inactive students.

    This modal allows administrators to efficiently search for students, filter by subclass and term, and select multiple students to add to the chosen classroom. The activity status helps identify which students are currently active in the system.

Adding Staff To Class

  • When clicking the "ADD STAFF TO CLASS" button, a modal opens with the following features:

    a) Modal Title:

    • "Choose Classroom Teacher" indicates the purpose of this modal.

    b) Teacher Search:

    • A search bar labeled "Search Teachers" allows for quick lookup of specific staff members.

    c) Selected Class Display:

    • Shows the currently selected class (e.g., "Selected Class: JSS2").

    d) Term Selection:

    • A dropdown menu to "Select Term" (options not visible in the image).

    e) Teacher List:

    • Displays a list of available teachers with radio buttons for selection.
    • Each teacher entry shows: • Teacher name • Activity status (e.g., "Active")

    f) Teacher Selection:

    • Radio buttons next to each teacher name allow for single selection.

    g) Status Indicators:

    • Green "Active" tag indicates the current active status of the teacher.

    h) Action Buttons:

    • "CANCEL" button to close the modal without making changes.
    • "ADD TEACHER TO CLASS" button to confirm the selection and assign the teacher.

    This modal allows administrators to efficiently search for and select a teacher to assign as the classroom teacher for the selected class. The interface provides a clear view of available teachers and their current status, streamlining the process of staff assignment to classes.
